Day 1 Hanoi City tour

Summary of The Day: After breakfast at the hotel, kickstart your Northern Vietnam tour by visiting in details the capital of Vietnam since the year 1010. Your tour guide will pick you up from 8:00am-8:30am and you will embark on a full day tour with lunch included.

After the tour, you can take a walk around the scenic Hoan Kiem Lake and enjoy a peaceful evening.

Tips: Certain museums (Ho Chi Minh Masoleum, Thang Long Citadel and Ethnology Museum) are not open on Monday and Friday; the tour guide will then arrange some other attractions to visit.

Day 2 Amazing Halong Bay Cruise

Summary of The Day: After breakfast at the hotel, your tour guide will pick you up around 8:00am-8:30am and you will leave Hanoi to go to Halong Bay. Most of the morning will be spent on the road as you pass through traditional Vietnamese rice fields on your way to this UNESCO Heritage site.

After checking into your room on the cruise and lunch, you will visit the Surprising Cave, Ti Top Beach and some fishing villages. After which you will be able to do some water activities. All the time while you are on the cruise, don’t forget to look into the ocean as you will be surrounded by all the little marble isles that made Halong Bay legendary.

You will have time to interact with other guests on the cruise during and after dinner.

Tips: Drinks ordered on cruise are not included in the package.

Day 3 Farewell Halong Bay

Summary of The Day: For early risers, there is Tai Chi on board at 6:30am; for the others, breakfast starts at 0700 on the cruise.

After breakfast, you will visit Luon Cave and do some kayaking thereafter. There will also be various activities on board after that, or you can lay down on the sundesk and enjoy the majestic view of Halong Bay. After lunch, you will check out from the cruise and head back towards Hanoi.

Depending on traffic, you will arrive in Hanoi around 1830 and head back to your hotel. After having dinner around 2000, you can explore Ha Noi at night before getting some rest.

Tips: After dinner, a walk around the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake is a very peaceful way to end the day.

Day 4 Ancient Capital – Hoa Lu & Tam Coc

Summary of The Day: Towards the end of your trip, you will visit another ancient capital of Vietnam. Although not listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage, Hoa Lu, with its ancient history and Tam Coc with its fascinating caves have always excite both historians and travelers alike. Your tour guide will pick you up around 0800-0830 from the hotel and you will reach Hoa Lu at around 11:00am.

After visiting two tombs of the Kings of the first dynasties of Vietnam, you will have lunch at a buffet restaurant. In the afternoon, you will take a 2 hours long rowing boat journey through the cavern waterway system of Tam Coc.

After your long boat ride, you can stretch your legs by cycling around the villages and ricefields. You will reach Hanoi around 1830. After a short rest in the hotel, you will have dinner at around 8:00pm.

Tips: For those who are unable to cycle, you can rest in a coffeeshop nearby and enjoy the scenery.

Day 5 Goodbye Vietnam

Summary of The Day: There is no plan for the day as departing flights time differ. You can have breakfast in the hotel and the checkout time is 12:00pm.
